The Fifth Floor Review

3 Stars

This film had a good story. always good to see a good old stuck on the same floor and can't escape flick like grounds hog day. if you can tie in better audio and camera work. you will have a very good short. don't use a lot of reverb for the talking and thinking to your self part of the short. this is distracting. Use of dollies or smooth tracking software for your shot walking around the actress in the elevator lobby will help enhance that particular scene.

Classic stuck in space, time, place story with a tie-in wake-up call to a dream foreshadowing reality.

Fun Idea, Character Needs a Quest

2.7 Stars

Your main character needs a quest, and the audience should know what's at stake if they fail in their mission. In the movie's first shot, she says, "I'm running to get coffee..." in this moment I would create a quest with a line like, "You can't threaten me like that, I'M OUT OF HERE!" The audience now knows that she really NEEDS to get out of that room because something is at stake if she doesn't. Minor stuff - I wouldn't show the bad guy on screen. I liked your elevator shots.
